Project to take gas to seven regions is awarded in September

Proinversión plans to award three major projects for the construction of public services infrastructure: the massification of natural gas in seven regions, the modernization of the Huancayo-Huancavelica railway, and high-voltage transmission lines in the north and east of the country.

The executive director of Proinversión, Alberto Ñecco, revealed that the award for the natural gas massification project for cities of Apurímac, Ayacucho, Huancavelica, Junín and Cusco, Puno and Ucayali, will be awarded at the end of next September or at the beginning of October for USD 350 million.

The Huancayo to Huancavelica railway modernization project is expected to be awarded between the last days of November and the beginning of next December for USD 227 million. Finally, the award for transmission line projects will be for USD 209 million as a whole and will be awarded next September (Diario Gestion).

MONDAY 05

  • In the next two years, the British Tullow Oil will consider Peru within a hydrocarbon exploration program that will be carried out at a regional level, which includes the option of carrying out two oil drilling in the area (Diario Gestion).

  • American Glass Products Group - AGP obtained USD 100 million financing from Credit Suisse and other lenders, to refinance existing debt, for the construction of the Soltvery working capital project (Diario Gestion).

  • Canadian Miner Hannah Metals Limited released findings in the department of San Martín, in the district of Sacanche, which were 5.9% copper and 66 grams of plant per ton (Diario Gestion).


FRIDAY 02

  • Minera Ares presented an extension project for ore production in the Inmaculada mining unit (Ayacucho), which contemplates a total investment of USD 1,195 million over a 20-year period (Diario Gestion).


THURSDAY 01

  • The Lima Airports Partners (LAP) airport concessionaire, operator of the Jorge Chavez International Airport, informed that the preparatory work and the environmental remediation for the airport expansion will be carried out in the first quarter of 2020 (Diario Gestion).

  • Promigas would double operation in Peru and invest US$ 230 million, these resources will be executed by Gasnorp, a subsidiary of Promigas, to connect 64,000 homes to the gas service (Diario Gestion).

  • Grupo Energy, expects next September to have results from new locations to drill on the north coast of Tumbes, in order to find more gas resources. They also reported that for this year the investments will be USD 20 million (Diario Gestion).

  • Coelvisac begins studies for renewable energy generation, it is estimated that the development of the new infrastructure will have an investment of USD 20 million to USD 40 million (Diario Gestion).

  • Graña y Montero obtained financing from CS Peru Infrastructure Holdings LLC for USD 35 million to increase liquidity and refinance the debts of the operating companies of the engineering and construction sector (Diario Gestion).


WEDNESDAY 31

  • Frontera Energy resumed the production operations of lot 192, after the repairs of the Norperuano Pipeline were completed (Diario Gestion).

FRIDAY 26

  • Corporation Agrolatina obtained financing from Interbank for USD 24 million, to reimburse long-term debts, and will allocate part of the funds to develop its commercial activities (Diario Gestion).


WEDNESDAY 24

  • Works of the Captain FAP Guillermo Concha Iberico International Airport (Piura) will be completed in the fourth quarter of the year, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications reported (Diario Gestion).
