The construction of the cruise terminal, in the districts of Miraflores, San Isidro or Magdalena, will require an investment of US$ 90 million. It should be added that the entire Project (involves a cruise terminal, a public marina, a shopping center and a hotel) will have an investment of US$ 200 million.

Likewise, the commercial director of the Cruise Terminal Bahia de Miraflores indicated that technical studies have been carried out in the bays of Miraflores, San Isidro and Magdalena, in order to confirm the feasibility of these zones with the construction of a terminal.


  • INDECOPI indicated that they have not given the authorization to to the Company Concessionaire Desaladora del Sur S.A. to work on the public highway, which had been operating in the district of Santa Maria del Mar.

  • To date, SENACE informed that they do not have the detailed environmental impact study (EIA-d) of Hidrovía Amazónica Project under evaluation.

  • The president of OSITRÁN indicated that they are negotiating the sixth Addendum to the concession contract for the Cusco-Machupicchu line.


  • As a result of the precautionary measure granted by INDECOPI, the project of the desalination plant Provisur will take up works in Santa Maria del Mar.

  • Since Petroperu reopen the Norperuano Pipeline, Frontera Energy is in the process of restarting its operations in lot 192.

  • The Comptroller General of the Republic detected that there are 876 projects paralyzed by S/ 16,870 million. Therefore, this entity has presented a draft law for the reactivation of partially paralized projects at 80% progress.

  • The Comptroller General of the Republic presented a project of law with the purpose of issue reports with a binding opinion, prior to the execution of projects by works for taxes.


  • Sacyr, through Consorcio Vial Rutas de Ayacucho, will be responsible for the management and routine conservation of 436 km of road, which links Ayacucho, Huancavelica and Junin for more than S/ 47 million. With this new Project, Sacyr holds more than 2,200 km of national highway, where more than 1,400 km are contracts of Provias Nacional.

  • The Minister of Transport and Communications indicated that the construction of 700 bridges will be tendered until 2021 in addition to the 226 bridges planned for the reconstruction.

  • The Minister of Energy and Mines indicated that for this year he foresees the start of execution of ten new mining exploration Projects, which will mean an approximate investment of US$ 94 million.

  • In three months, HMC Capital will launch its Investment Fund Management Company in the Peruvian market, in which the funds currently managed will be housed.

  • Southern Peru will invest in a new cooper foundry in Ilo with a capacity of 1 million tons per provided that Tía María Project (Arequipa) starts its production phase.

  • The Gold Fields mining company, which is developing technical studies related to the life extension of the Cerro Corona gold-copper operation in Cajamarca, anticipates a capital investment of US $ 55 million this year, which will represent an increase of 66% compared to what was registered in 2018.


  • The Ministry of Energy and Mines reported that investments in mining rose to US$ 335 million in January of this year, registering a growth of 48% compared to the same month of 2018.

  • The Supervisory Body for Investment in Infrastructure of Public Use (OSITRAN) published the project of General Tariff Regulation (RETA), in order to make more efficient and lower  the tariff procedures in road, airports and railways concessions.

  • Plateau Energy almost doubled the resources of the Peruvian Lithium Project to 4.71 million tons of lithium carbonate, increasing the expectation of the project development. As a result, investors from all the world and, particularly from Asia, have a special interest in betting on the Peruvian Lithium Project.


  • Between 2017 and 2018, seven companies that hold concessions in the country initiated legal proceedings against the Peruvian State before the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).

  • The creditors of the engineering and construction subsidiary of Odebrecht S.A., who are holders of bonds for more than US$ 1,000 million of the company, have proposed a restructuring of the debt, including an expiry deferral of four years.

  • Newmont unanimously rejected the offer to buy the Canadian Company Barrick Gold, who is a world leader in gold, since they consider it would not benefit their actions.
