Thirteen companies and entities would be interested in acquiring Odebrecht's assets in Peru

According to a report presented by Gestión, within the framework of the new Law N ° 30737 and its regulations (norms that replace the Emergency Decree N ° 003-2017), there are to date several market players interested in acquiring the Odebrecht’s assets in the country.

Thus, it has been reported that to date there are several requests for authorization being evaluated by Ministry of Justice and Human Rights to proceed with such processes. Among the main projects involved, there are offers for the acquisition of the concessionaire “Empresa de Generación Huallaga S.A.”, as well as the acquisition of assets belonging to Odebrecth Perú Ingeniería y Construcción. Among the entities interested in the acquisition processes we can fin the Provincial Municipality of Calca, as well as private companies, including Ferreyros S.A., Grupo Vivargo S.A.C., Obras de Ingeniería S.A. and Huallaga Holding Company Limited, among others.


  • According to the ProInversión’s schedule, the entity plans to allocate at least US$ 1 302.8 million in infrastructure investments. During the fourth quarter, the awarding of different transmission line projects is planned, as well as a broadband connectivity project. Likewie, is expected during June the awarding of the plant for treatment of wastewater of the Titicaca Lake (Gestión).


  • Bow Power reported that it is evaluating the construction of a solar plant in Ica, with an estimated investment of US$ 215 million (Gestión).

  • Gaz Energie informed that it started the construction of the Humay Thermal Power Plant, with an installed capacity of 500 MW (Gestión).


  • Lima Airport Partners reported that it plans to execute the concession contract for the expansion works of Jorge Chávez Airport during the fourth quarter of 2018 (Gestión).

  • Chinalco reported that it started construction works of the Toromocho mine expansion project (Gestión).
